IPTools is a private, free project. It does not profile users, display advertising, or use tracking analytics.
1. Controller
The data controller is Dominik Mirek, who runs IPTools as a private individual. Contact: kontakt@iptools.pl.
2. Calculator inputs and links
Addresses, prefixes, masks, and other parameters are calculated in your browser. Ordinary editing and calculation neither send them to the server nor change the page address.
Parameters can appear in the part of a link after # when you choose “Share”, switch the page language with a completed form, or use the quick form on the home page to open a tool. The browser keeps this part locally and does not send it in the HTTP request for the page. Older links may contain parameters after ?; that part can appear in server logs or other infrastructure, so check the complete link before sharing it.
3. Requests and technical logs
To display a page, the server and hosting provider process information needed for the connection, including the IP address, time, requested page address, and response code. The ordinary Caddy access log is intentionally disabled in production as well. Caddy may still produce limited operational, security, or error messages, and OVH infrastructure may process its own technical data. These are not ordinary IPTools records of every request. The purposes are to deliver the site, maintain operation, diagnose faults, and protect it; the basis is legitimate interests under GDPR Article 6(1)(f).
4. Email
A voluntary message may contain the sender's address, content, attachments, and technical details supplied by the sender. The data is used to provide the requested response, diagnose a reported fault, and protect the contact channel against abuse. The basis is the controller's legitimate interests under GDPR Article 6(1)(f), covering voluntary correspondence and security. Email is handled through OVH. The controller deletes correspondence, including from the Trash folder, no later than 30 days after the reported matter is resolved; if the provider keeps backup copies, their deletion cycle depends on the provider's rules. Do not include data that the matter does not require.
5. Recipients and rights
Technical data may be processed by the infrastructure provider, and email by providers involved in its delivery. Data is not sold or passed to advertisers. Where the GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, erasure, or restriction and object to processing. The right to data portability applies when the conditions set by the GDPR are met. Send a request to the contact address. You may also complain to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
The site does not use data for profiling or make automated decisions about users that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect them.
6. Storage time and changes
The controller deletes correspondence, including from the Trash folder, no later than 30 days after the reported matter is resolved. Limited operational, security, or error data may exist while needed for technical operation and protection; the exact provider-side periods, including any backup cycle, depend on the specific OVH service and have not yet been confirmed. This policy will be updated before adding accounts, a form, analytics, advertising, or another function that changes processing.
